Creamy, light, and really filling: Our Chia Quark is the quick breakfast hero – plain, with fruit, or as a base for bowls. Quickly mixed, big on flavor.

Ingredients

  • 500 g quark (German curd cheese)
  • 4 tbsp chia seeds
  • 2 tbsp honey (to taste)
  • 1 ladle of natural yogurt
  • 500 ml warm water (for soaking the chia seeds)

Creamy Chia Quark

How to make it

Soak chia seeds

Place chia seeds in a bowl, pour 500 ml of warm water over them, and let them soak for 15–20 minutes until they are gelatinous.

Prepare quark

In a large bowl, smoothly stir together the quark and natural yogurt.

Sweeten

Stir in honey until well distributed (amount to taste).

Mix in chia seeds

Add the soaked chia seeds to the quark mixture and stir thoroughly until everything is creamy.

Tips & variations

Top the chia quark with fresh fruit (berries, mango, apple), sprinkle nuts or seeds for crunch, or stir in lemon zest for more freshness. For a vegan option, use plant-based yogurt and agave syrup instead of honey. For dessert vibes, layer the quark with Rote Grütze (red fruit pudding) or compote in a glass. Keeps in the refrigerator for 1–2 days – stir once before serving.
